St. Regis Hotel, Venice – Interior Design CGI
Luxury Hotel Visualisations by Charles Roberts Studios
Bringing Venetian Elegance to Life Through Interior Visualisation
Charles Roberts Studios was commissioned to create a series of high-end interior CGIs for the proposed redesign of the world-renowned St. Regis Hotel in Venice. Located moments from Piazza San Marco, the St. Regis is a landmark of timeless luxury overlooking the Grand Canal. The challenge for our studio was to visualise how this historic icon could be reimagined for a new generation of guests — capturing the refined character of Venice while reflecting the sophistication associated with the St. Regis brand.
Working in close collaboration with the appointed interior-design team, we produced a collection of photorealistic renderings that express both the grandeur and the intimacy of the proposed interiors. Every detail was modelled with precision, from bespoke furnishings to the quality of the light falling across marble, glass, and fabric.
Visualising the Guest Experience
Our interior visualisations were created to immerse the viewer in the guest experience from the moment they enter the suite. Each CGI was carefully composed to highlight the relationship between the architectural envelope and the contemporary design language proposed by the interior designers.
In the bedroom suite render, soft morning light filters through floor-to-ceiling windows, revealing panoramic views of Venice’s historic skyline. A muted palette of warm neutrals and soft greys is lifted by accents of deep violet in the cushions and artwork, creating a serene balance of comfort and sophistication. The tactile detailing — the subtle sheen of silk drapery, the texture of the headboard fabric, the sheen of polished timber flooring — was replicated with meticulous attention to material realism.
The dressing area visualisation extends this narrative of understated luxury. Gentle pendant lighting and a sculptural dressing table create an intimate retreat within the suite. These design touches were intentionally emphasised to showcase how small details contribute to the overall sense of harmony and privacy in the guest experience.
Showcasing Materials, Textures and Lighting
The strength of architectural visualisation lies in its ability to reveal the tactile qualities of a design before it exists. For this project, our team focused on capturing the interplay of textures that define Venetian opulence — marble surfaces, handcrafted timber, rich textiles, and sculptural lighting elements.
Using advanced rendering techniques, every surface was simulated under realistic lighting conditions to reproduce how materials behave in both daylight and evening ambience. Reflections on the glass pendant lights and the soft glow on brushed-metal fixtures were calibrated to feel authentic, not exaggerated. The result is a set of visuals that communicate not just form, but atmosphere — allowing stakeholders to sense the mood of each space as though they were standing in it.
Communicating Design Intent to Stakeholders
For global hotel brands like St. Regis, design decisions are made collaboratively by developers, investors, and operators across continents. High-quality interior CGIs bridge the communication gap, presenting design intent in a language everyone understands — imagery.
Charles Roberts Studios’ renderings enabled the design team to demonstrate how their proposal would reinterpret the grandeur of Venetian architecture through a modern lens. These visuals became central to presentations, ensuring that the proposed interior scheme could be experienced and approved with confidence before a single physical element was built.
The Role of CGI in Luxury Hospitality Design
In luxury hospitality, imagery is more than representation — it’s persuasion. Photorealistic interior CGIs capture the feeling of exclusivity and comfort that defines a world-class hotel. They are used not only for design development but also for marketing campaigns, investor relations, and pre-opening promotional materials.
For the St. Regis Hotel in Venice, our CGIs helped convey the quiet grandeur that the interior designers envisioned: spaces that feel deeply rooted in Venetian artistry yet unmistakably contemporary in execution.
Conclusion
Charles Roberts Studios is proud to have visualised the proposed interiors for the St. Regis Hotel Venice, combining architectural accuracy with evocative storytelling. The interior visualisations highlight the tactile richness of the materials, the refinement of the design, and the calm luxury that will define the guest experience.
Through careful composition, precise lighting, and an artist’s attention to detail, the CGIs invite the viewer to step inside — to imagine the atmosphere, the comfort, and the timeless elegance that will soon welcome guests to one of Venice’s most prestigious destinations.
