Avington Park

Charles Roberts Studios was appointed by a private client to produce architectural CGI for the restoration of Avington Park, a 16th-century stately home and estate. The brief covered a coordinated set of exterior and interior visuals showing how the property would look once restored — used to support design decisions and give the client a realistic view of the finished house ahead of construction.

Working with ADAM Architecture

We modelled the building from ADAM Architecture's drawings, masterplans and site photography, matching its proportions, elevations and detailing closely. The CGI reflects the proposed façade refinements, roof treatments, window detailing, materials and classical features exactly as designed — giving the client a level of clarity that drawings alone don't provide on a restoration this complex.

Landscape by Balston Agius

The grounds are as much a part of Avington Park's character as the house, so the visuals were developed alongside landscape proposals from Balston Agius. Gardens, planting and the wider estate setting are shown together with the architecture, so the house and its setting read as one composition rather than two separate elements.

Historical accuracy ran through the detail work: stone finishes, window profiles, roof materials, mouldings and decorative elements were all developed with close reference to the original building. The interior CGI took the same approach, using classical proportions and traditional detailing without over-styling the spaces. Exterior views use soft natural daylight to bring out the building's form and materials against the landscape; interiors use balanced natural light and restrained shadow to keep the rooms feeling true to how they'd actually look.

Together, the exterior and interior imagery gave the client a complete picture of the restoration — from the house's presence within the estate down to the detail and atmosphere of the principal rooms — before any work started on site.
