Housing Scheme CGI, CRS Reveal® and Walkthrough for a Former Garden Centre Site in Hertfordshire

Charles Roberts Studios produced the marketing visuals for a development of 16 four and five-bedroom family homes on the site of a former garden centre in Hertfordshire. Six of the homes are affordable. The work includes two aerial CGIs built into drone photography, CGI of each house type, interactive CRS Reveal® sliders and an animated development walkthrough.

The site is in a semi-rural village setting, with mature trees, open fields, neighbouring housing and road connections around it. The village has transport links into London, which suits families looking for village surroundings with access to the wider area. We worked closely with the developer throughout to produce marketing material for each home.

Aerial views

A former garden centre is hard to read from the ground, with hardstanding, scattered buildings and boundary planting hiding the overall picture. The aerial views show the whole site and its surroundings at once.

The first is taken from a higher position. It shows the new homes in relation to the adjacent roads, open fields and nearby housing, and makes clear how the site is reached and bounded. The second is closer and from a different direction. It shows how the houses are arranged, how gardens and boundaries work, and how the planting softens the scheme into the landscape.

Both images are built on drone photography, so the countryside, neighbouring buildings, road network and mature vegetation are real. The houses, gardens and planting were modelled in CGI and integrated into the photographs. Retained trees and hedgerows stay in view.

House types and CRS Reveal®

The CGI shows the design and finishes of every house type. The CRS Reveal® sliders give potential buyers an interactive way to look at each property.

Walkthrough
