Benham Park

Charles Roberts Studios was commissioned to produce exterior and interior architectural visualisations for Benham Park, a stately home in Berkshire, to support its proposed renovation and conversion from office use back to a private residence.

Years of office use had changed how the house is experienced, so the images needed to show how its residential character could be reinstated, accurately and without exaggeration. We worked from architectural plans, elevations, photographs and historical references, with input from classicist architect John Simpson, so the proportions, mouldings and materials followed the intended architectural language.

The exterior views show the house as it would appear after restoration, within its grounds. Lighting uses soft daylight and realistic shadows, and the stone, render, timber and glazing carry natural variation so the building sits believably in its setting.

The interior CGI covers the principal rooms and shows how the large formal spaces could return to residential use. Natural light, materials, furnishings and architectural detailing are handled to suit the house, so the rooms read as a finished home rather than a staged set.

The images were produced to support marketing to prospective buyers, for use in brochures, sales presentations and online campaigns. They also gave the design team a shared reference for scale, proportion, finishes and lighting during design development.
